Terms and conditions of sale for bed & breakfast stays
These terms and conditions of sale (T&Cs) apply to bed & breakfast stays and to the unusual accommodation of the Domaine du Dahu, offered by Les Sablons SARL.
Article 1 – Duration of the stay
The client who signs this contract, concluded for a fixed term, may not under any circumstances claim any right to remain on the premises beyond the booked period.
Article 2 – Booking formalities
Upon receipt of your booking request, we send you a written confirmation by email – or, in the absence of an email address, by post.
The booking is only validated upon receipt of full payment for the stay. This payment is cashed upon receipt. For stays of one week (7 nights) and longer, payment in two instalments is possible upon request. Payment constitutes confirmation of your full and complete agreement with these terms and conditions.
Failure to pay the amount within the allotted time means that the booking is not confirmed and that, consequently, we reserve the right to make the accommodation available again once it has become vacant.
Article 3 – Consumer Code – Right of withdrawal
A booking made online, by telephone and/or by correspondence is a distance purchase. It is a contract concluded at a distance within the meaning of the definition given by the French Consumer Code. We are subject to articles L. 121-17 and following of the French Consumer Code.
We inform you that the right of withdrawal does not apply to accommodation service contracts.
Article 4 a. – Cancellation of the stay by the client
Any change is only possible after the agreement of " La SARL Les Sablons " and may result in additional charges.
In the event of cancellation of the booking before the start of the stay, the client shall owe, as a penalty clause, compensation set as follows :
- If the cancellation occurs more than 8 weeks before the arrival date : the amount paid will be refunded, less administrative fees corresponding to 3 % of the total amount.
- If the cancellation occurs between 2 weeks and less than 8 weeks before the arrival date : 50 % of the amount will be retained by SARL Les Sablons.
- If the cancellation occurs less than 2 weeks before the arrival date : the full amount of the stay will be retained by SARL Les Sablons (in accordance with the booking contract).
- In the event of early departure during the stay : full payment for the booked service is due, whatever the reason.
Article 4 b. – Force majeure (Covid-19 and other declared pandemics)
Except for any decree or order prevailing over the conditions set out below, any stay that cannot be honoured will be subject to the following provisions :
- Governmental measures (mileage restrictions, national or local lockdown, curfew, closure of establishments or borders, etc.) preventing your arrival : a postponement of the stay will be offered to you over a period of 12 to 24 months.
- If one of the occupants tests positive for Covid-19 (or another virus declared as a pandemic) : upon presentation of supporting documentation, a postponement of the stay will be offered to you for a period of 12 months from the initial stay date.
- If one of the occupants is a Covid-19 contact case (or for another virus declared as a pandemic) : upon presentation of supporting documentation from the health insurance authority, a postponement of the stay will be offered to you for a period of 12 months from the initial stay date.
For any request to postpone a stay due to force majeure, please send your request by email to the establishment, using the contact details indicated on your stay confirmation.
If you wish to cancel or postpone your stay without providing supporting documentation, the cancellation and modification conditions mentioned above, in part a., will apply.
Article 5 – Cancellation insurance to be taken out by the client
We draw your attention to the fact that no cancellation insurance is included in our prices. It is therefore strongly recommended that you take out such insurance.
Article 6 – Cancellation of the stay by the owner
If, before the start of the stay, the owner has to cancel the booking, they must immediately inform the client by any means. The client will then be immediately and fully refunded the amounts already paid.
Article 7 – Arrival time
Arrival is scheduled for the afternoon from 4 p.m., and possible until 8 p.m. In case of a special or unforeseen request, it will be necessary to contact us by telephone to inform us of any delay.
Article 8 – Departure time
The departure time is set at 10:00 a.m. Departure up to 12:00 noon is possible on request, depending on availability. A late check-out at 2:00 p.m., or even 4:00 p.m., can be booked as an option, to be requested when making the reservation.
A later departure may be possible upon request, subject to the prior agreement of the owner.
Article 9 – Payment for the stay
Full payment for the stay is required at the time of booking in order to block the dates. For stays of one week (7 nights) and longer, payment in two instalments is possible upon request. Additional charges (tourist tax, pet supplements, etc.) may be added to the initial amount.
Article 9 bis – Security deposit – Gîte and private hire
For any rental of the gîte, a security deposit of 500 € is requested on arrival. This deposit is returned within 7 days after departure, less, where applicable, the cost of repairs or replacement of damaged or missing furniture and equipment noted during the check-out inspection.
When the gîte is booked as part of a whole-estate private hire for a party or an event, the security deposit is raised to 1,500 €.
Gîte rates exclude cleaning: end-of-stay cleaning is the client's responsibility. The gîte must be left clean and ready for departure, with dishes washed and put away, the fridge emptied, bins taken out, floors and bathrooms washed, and furniture put back in place. Otherwise a flat sum of 300 € is withheld from the security deposit for cleaning.
Article 9 ter – Long-stay discounts
The winter offer and the 10% discount below apply to the floating chalets, whose fitted kitchen is shared and located on the bank. They do not apply to the gîte, which has its own kitchen. The “seventh night free” offer applies to both the chalets and the gîte:
- winter offer: in low season, for a stay of at least 3 consecutive nights, one night is charged at a preferential rate equal to the low-season weekday rate minus €40, rounded down to the nearest price ending in 9 (€69 for the Boat Couple chalet). This rate applies to the cheapest night of the stay. The offer excludes bank holiday weekends and public holidays;
- 10% from 4 consecutive nights in mid, high and peak season;
- from 7 consecutive nights, the seventh night is free, deducted at the season’s weekday rate.
These discounts cannot be combined: where a stay qualifies for more than one, only the most favourable to the client applies. They cannot be combined with any other offer or promotional code.
They do not apply to the Love Room packages (Boat Love and Premium Love chalets), whatever the season or length of stay, nor to stays including a night of the end-of-year festive period, from 18 December to 3 January.
The discounts apply to the price of the nights only. They do not apply to cleaning, the tourist tax, supplements or options.
For any stay of 7 consecutive nights or more at the gîte, the seventh night is free: six nights are charged. The free night is deducted at the season's weekday rate. The offer applies to the gîte only, cannot be combined with any other discount, and covers neither cleaning nor the tourist tax.
In the event of damage exceeding the amount of the security deposit, the client undertakes to pay the difference upon presentation of the corresponding supporting documents.
Article 10 – Change of rooms
Without the client being able to claim any compensation, the owner reserves the right to change the room initially booked by the client for a room of the same capacity or of a higher capacity. In such a case, the cost of the booking remains unchanged.
Article 11 – Pets
Pets are allowed under certain conditions. A charge of 14 euros per animal and per night applies. Please indicate this when making your booking.
Article 12 – Code of conduct and use of the premises
In order to ensure the tranquillity of the premises and the comfort of the guests of Les Sablons SARL, all are required to observe a certain " code of conduct ".
- In particular, guests are asked not to smoke indoors.
- The client undertakes to comply with the rules of good conduct indicated to them and with these terms and conditions of sale.
- The client undertakes to return the rooms in perfect condition and free of damage at the end of the stay and to systematically declare – and bear the financial responsibility for – any damage for which they are responsible.
- Repair costs, including the time spent on the work required for restoration, will be settled by separate invoice and on the basis of supporting documents for the expenses incurred.
- The kitchen, left freely available to guests, must be left clean.
Guests' attention is drawn to the fact that minors present on the property are placed under the sole and full responsibility of their parents or of the persons having authority over them. Children must always be accompanied by an adult on the estate, in the premises and/or on the grounds.
Your stay at Les Sablons and the use of our equipment and facilities (access to the lake, the parking areas, etc.) is undertaken voluntarily and at your own risk.
Les Sablons SARL is not liable for any loss, theft and/or damage or injury caused to property and/or persons on the property, for whatever reason.
Article 13 – Modification of the terms of sale
These terms of sale may be modified at any time and without notice. Acceptance of and compliance with these terms of sale are deemed to be acquired as soon as payment has been made.
Article 14 – French Data Protection Act
In accordance with French Act No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 on data processing, files and freedoms, you have a right to access and rectify the data concerning you. We undertake under no circumstances to transmit the information you have communicated to us to other companies or organisations.
These T&Cs apply to all bed & breakfast stays and unusual accommodation of the Dahu Wake Park – Les Sablons SARL.
